My Side Of The Mountain | Stranded-In-The-Wild Novel

Greetings, guten tag, hola! 'My Side Of The Mountain' is about Sam Gribley. He lives in, get this: New York. Now, NY is personally not my favorite state. However, New York has small apartments. So imagine a dad and a kid, it would be perfect size. Now times that by eleven, and you have a Mom, a Dad, four sisters and three brothers (four including Sam). It's crowded. Sam tells his father, "Dad, I'm gonna run away." and he laughs and tells a story about how when he was a boy he ran away and came back twenty minutes later. Sam was mad that his Dad didn't take him seriously, so he continued and ran away with a penknife, a ball of cord, 40$, some flint & steel, and an axe. He goes on a bus and his first night is terrible. After that night, he finds a house and knocks on the door. A guy named Bill took him in, showed him how to make a fire, and gave him some food and Sam finally got started. After he got started, he made two friends. Frightful the bird, and Baron the weasel. Books: One, Two, Three.

Now, I'm not gonna spoil any more. This book is a 6/10 stars because I feel like this book is like Hatchet, or maybe Hatchet is like this book. Also, the surviving-in-the-forest genre is not my favorite.
